We have now completed our first 4 week ‘Base’ training block, and we hoped you found the sessions interesting and beneficial. This week sees us starting our next 4 week block, where we will be focusing on some new techniques and training methods leading into the Christmas Holidays
This time of year should largely be made up of sessions which are focused on building volume with lower intensity i.e. predominantly endurance type sessions, but can include limited speed sessions.

With this in mind we will be focusing on the following topics for the next block:
- TUESDAY RUN — STRENGTH & ENDURANCE
- WEDNESDAY SWIM — DRAFTING & ENDURANCE
- THURSDAY SWIM — CORE STRENGTH
- SATURDAY SWIM — CATCH & PROPULSION
- SATURDAY BIKE — GEARING / CADENCE / EFFICIENCY
NOTE: Please wear high vis-clothing and head torches to run sessions, and attach a stop watch to handle bars for cycling sessions (to measure cadence) if you don’t already have a bike computer.
Due to Pool closures and coaches availability we will not be running any coached sessions over the festive period. Our last coached session will be the Tuesday evening run 23rd December, and our first session back will be Saturday Swim (and bike) 3rd January.
